Prepare your home for Showing
- Turn on all lights & lamps (switches sometimes are hard to locate for a first timer in your house)
- Open blinds and drapes
- Turn off TV-turn on "soft" music on LOW volume
- Make beds
- Do dishes
- Pick up clothes, papers, magazines, etc. NO CLUTTER
- Clear tables and counters
- Clean bathrooms, toilet lid down, fresh towels, air freshener
- Clean litter box & eliminate pet odors-Pets secured or removed
- Take out trash
- Look around-Does everything look in place & ready for your buyer
- Always leave the house as though it was going to be shown that day
- Remove yourself from the premises before the agent & buyer arrive (this allows a potential buyer the freedom of asking questions and giving the house a thorough looking over to remember it by)
- Let your agent know at time of listing whether it will be permissible for potential buyers to take photos or videos of the interior of your home-this will be communicated to the showing agent before showings.
